Eddie Lawson's thoughtsJarama 1988 provided plenty of fireworks. Kevin Schwantz had won the Japanese GP, Eddie Lawson the American GP and Wayne Gardner was keen to place the Honda factory back on top.
The Yamahas had found extra speed and handling and Lawson was determined to win back his world title.
Gardner's fellow Australian Kevin Magee was thought to have a good chance, while American Wayne Rainey was showing his early promise had been no fluke.
